Quest green is a social enterprise on a quest to create improved livelihoods and also preserve the environment by using locally sourced materials to produce and distribute cook stoves that saves lives.
Growing up in a local village in Nigeria, our founder (Patience Olor) had experienced the negative effects associated with the use of traditional inefficient fires for cooking purposes. Patience, couldn’t study after school because she and her siblings spent hours daily gathering firewood for cooking purposes. Also, she and her mum hardly got involved in most social activities because they spent prolonged hours cooking over smoky inefficient fire that wasted both time and firewood.
Globally, an estimated 3.2 billion people rely on polluting inefficient fires to cook their food; creating lost opportunities amongst women, and also harming the environment. Therefore, in 2022 Quest Green launched its energy efficient cook stoves to address the cooking needs of households in Africa.
